Christmas 2012 is now passed. For me it was a roller coaster that I could not remove myself from. The familiar carols played out for weeks, one of my favorites is
We had set out on a much anticipated birthday trip for dear husband to the Ocean House in Watch Hill, RI.
Christmas Eve birthdays present a challenge. This year we decided to get away together for r & r and celebration. The Ocean House is a PERFECT place for this!
The Ocean House pulls out all the stops to make your time there as perfect as possible. Sparkly lights, beautiful views, gingerbread houses, the food, the SPA! And yet, the world cannot be shut out entirely. We received very bad news while we were staying there. This hung like a cloud, and shall for a very long time.
Some things are beyond our comprehension, and we look first inward, and then outward for answers and maybe they will never come, so we put ourselves in God’s hands.
We fall on our knees in the wake of tragedies and wait…

We are a long way from the morning we will rejoice, but have faith that the day will come.
I’m sorry to read that your Christmas idyll was touched by sadness. I hope that you and yours come through whatever this is.
