Next Up Nantucket

Nantucket in June is nearly nirvana!  In the next weeks or so, I will show you and share with you what it means to me.  Much of Nantucket isNantucket private

private, but there is just as much available to all who are willing to walk or bicycle down pretty streets, paths and beaches.  Cars are discouraged but not banned.  Stay tuned, in the next week or so, I will show you what I found this year on a favorite island that we have been visiting for a few decades!

  1. Hey Jayne,
Remember me? Been out of commission for six months but I’ve been subscribing to your great blog. Looking forward to Nantucket. Since I’ve been paralyzed, the only traveling I do is through other people’s eyes like yours. The only part of the US I haven’t is the NE, so I’m always fond of these kinds of posts. Stay cool!

    • Hi Patrick, Glad to see you back in cyberspace! The window boxes are spectacular! I am going to show them to my Mother who still volunteers at the Lutheran Care Center where they have raised beds, wheel chair accessible, for the residents to work in and admire.

I’ll look forward to the photos – I’ve never been to Nantucket, but that gate is a lovely little foretaste.

Oo can’t wait for more posts.

  4. I’m getting a vicarious thrill out of following your Nantucket series. I haven’t been there in 40 years! I cannot even believe that number tripped through my fingers! My then boyfriend and I used to sign our letters to each other with “Nantucket” a symbol of our knee shaking love. Oh youth! Thanks for the memories.
