Clementine had a tummy ailment so off to the vet this morning. Home with medication and a prescribed diet of WD until all is right. How did her Auntie know she needed a pick-me-up! In the mail arrived, just this afternoon, a package!!!!!
A snood for Clementine, and one for Pippa too! For a chic Cavalier, dining can be difficult when the perfectly coiffed ear flaps fall into the dinner bowl!
“What is that?” she said with some reservation.
“Oh!” said Pippa, “I quite like the look of that. Auntie has outdone herself!” These snoods are handknit by the cavaliers favorite Auntie! Smashing, don’t you think? She is selling the pattern, her own design, if you want to make one for your precious Cavalier, or other smallish toy dog! Contact me with a reply to this post and I will let you know how you can get one. Her Etsy shop is under construction fir improvements and will be up soon!
“Move over, Boo! If our Mother can figure out You Tube and we go viral with these snood pics, we’ll blow you off Facebook! Actually, we don’t have a competitive bone in our body; we will happily co-exist with your fame. We LOVE BOO! ”
We do have a worry, though. Can we wear our pretty snoods outdoors? Will the Foxy Gentleman spot us more easily….look what was lurking on the pond on Sunday!
This might be a second fox lurking in the neighborhood. The one photographed for an earlier blog posting is not so tall or red! Do the cavaliers dare make a spectacle of themselves on the otherwise grey landscape? Do fox see color? We wouldn’t want this guy to snatch a chic cavalier from the door step! ALways something to worry about……
Well, it’s a novel idea if nothing else. Beautifully knitted. Hope they don’t feel too embarrassed to go out in them.

I think I would be tempted to borrow that snood!!! 😉
I do hope Clementine is better now!!
Oh, do take that trip to to see your son!
There were so many times that people said to Graham,
“My mother has never been out to see me, you are so lucky!”
I realize now, that it took courage, but I am so happy I did it.
There is something about looking into the eyes of our children,
no matter how old they are….. that gives me comfort.
Let me know if you do!

OH HOW DARLING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much for coming by! Your comment really touched me. You said A LOT in very few words, and it means a lot to us all when what we design and say can TAKE SOMEONE AWAY from the madness of the world for a short while.
ENJOY AND THAT PUPS are soooooo cute with their snoods!

Hello! I have 2 Cavaliers and I found this post whilst Googling “Cavalier snood” and I am IN LOVE with these knitted snoods. Is there any chance that your Auntie has a pattern that she would be willing to share? I looked on Ravelry.com but there aren’t any as nice as these. Thanks so much!

Hello Jayne. I love the snoods and went to Aunty’s website but I’m confused how to contact her. Could you help me – I’d love to purchase a snood for my Cavelier, “Stella”
Thanks!

Stella – what a great name! All beautiful cavalier ears deserve a snood! My sister’s computer at home is acting up and is in the shop, but she can check her messages from work on Monday. Did you leave her a comment on her web site?

She is working on it! Besides a full time job, her meedle arts keep her going 24/7, but I know that it is her intention to make the pattern available!
