For each new morning with its light,
For rest and shelter of the night,
For health and food,
For love and friends,
For everything Thy goodness sends.’
Ralph Waldo Emerson
Grace was recited at the Thanksgiving table, but left out what filled my heart most yesterday….the family members who travelled to be at our table, including the one who could not make it, but would have if he were not so far away. Thank goodness for video chats!
I am just a few weeks short of a year anniversary of this blog! I am very thankful for the readers I have and thankful for their inspiring blogs as well. I think I will save those reveries for New Years Eve! The next few weeks will most likely be a blur of trying to do too much in seemingly too few days, so I am grateful for a happy and good day with family yesterday. Try to keep the thankfulness present in each day!
That’s the challenge, isn’t it?…….to remain present enough each day to maintain the awareness of all those gifts.
It sounds like you had a full table – and it doesn’t get much better than that – video chats and all.
